The following candidates have received DFL endorsement for the 2008 elections. Those endorsements were made at the SD37 DFL Endorsing Convention on March 8, 2008.

In what is considered a heavily Republican district, community activist Shelley Madore (DFL) won the right to represent the citizens in Minnesota Legislative District 37A in 2006. She will being vying for re-election to that same seat in 2008.

While a member of Minnesota House, Shelley has worked especially hard on the issues of transportation, education, conservation and property tax relief. She was made Vice-Chair of the Transportation and Transit Subcommittee and the Minnesota Public Transit Association (MPTA) named Shelley a "2007 Friend of Transit" award winner. The award was established to recognize excellence in public transit services and public transit advocacy in Minnesota. Shelley was also recognized by the Conservation Minnesota Voter Center for her commitment to conservation during the 2007 Legislative Session.

Shelley has been an active member of the community since she moved to Apple Valley, Minnesota with her family in 1991 from Boston. For ten years she has been a member of the City of Apple Valley Urban Affairs Committee. Shelley has a continuing relationship with the I35W Solutions Alliance - a multi-city task group working on funding projects that are priorities for the south metro. Shelley's work with the local school district, ISD #196, has been well-publicized:
